The Advancement Services Specialist manages the college scholarship process, processes cashiering and accounting duties, maintains the CVTC donor/alumni database, manages the donor acknowledgment process, assists with fund-raising communications, and provides donor research and analysis. This position is also responsible for coordination of the college’s advancement program including developing and implementing data and gift-entry procedures, producing reports and mailing lists, and contributing to successful implementation of advancement strategies including donor acknowledgements and other stewardship efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, balance, and close cashier sessions and bank deposits daily.
- Record and maintain Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions on general ledger.

The Public Safety & Training Resource Officer serves in accomplishing the overall public safety mission of the College. The position assists with the College’s public safety efforts at the Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, and River Falls campuses which include loss prevention, customer service, proactive patrols, and parking enforcement. The Public Safety & Training Resource Officer interacts with employees, students, local law enforcement agencies, fire/EMS departments, and appropriate agencies on matters related to public safety. This position reports to the Public Safety Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create atmosphere of strong customer service with students, staff, and community members on CVTC campuses.

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is seeking a qualified candidate for a Welding Technician position, based out of Bloomer, WI. This position will assisit with welding training on site at various locations within CVTC's 11-county district for employers and K-12 schools. Assignments will include High School Academies.
The Welding Technician is responsible for demonstrating setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures and related operational welding skills to students; ordering and maintaining materials supply inventory; maintaining lab equipment; fabricating and welding projects as needed; and preparing reports. This position reports to the Director of Apprenticeship & STEM Initiatives and is provided work direction by the Welding/Welding Fabrication Program Director.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and supervise setup and operation of welding/welding fabrication equipment under a variety of environments and technologies taught in program coursework: SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, PAC, OAC, GMAW-S, GMAW-P, robotic Welders, saws, sanders, fabrication equipment.
- Transport Mobile Welding Lab to K12 and employer sites for onsite training needs.
- Set up lab equipment for daily activities and help students troubleshoot equipment during class.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
- Purchase supplies and equipment and assist with documentation and revision of materials.
- Provide guidance to Welding/Welding Fabrication students in a shared lab environment.
- Organize supplies and tools and clean and inspect workstations.
- Perform basic maintenance on lab equipment.
- Conduct equipment inspections and maintain equipment records.
- Support program recruitment activities.
- Perform welding and cutting with SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, PAC, OAC, GMAW-S, GMAW-P, and GMAW-Spray processes.
- Independently learn and stay current on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints and use manufacturer parts manuals for ordering replacement parts or assemblies.
- Read welding blueprints and engineering drawings to determine material specifications, requirements, and task sequences.
- Verify quality conformance of welded and fabricated work pieces with squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems, procedures, and record-keeping methods.

Under the direction of the truck driving instructors and lead truck driving instructional assistants, this position is responsible for driving and related operational skills training for students pursuing a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This position will also maintain records, prepare reports, and initiate and develop client training for Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and supervise student driving under a variety of environments and driving conditions, including straight line backing, developing depth perception, making turns, backing into docks and parking places, mirror adjustment, and how to use large mirrors and convex mirrors.
