    Starting salary of $59,608 - $73,729 for 34/52-week contract. Starting salary will be commensurate with training and experience.

    34/52-week contract; will build workload (the equivalent of 34 weeks) over 52 weeks (July 1 – June 30) to include summers. Schedule will vary each term and may include day and evening assignments at various locations.

An instructor maintains a flexible schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignment, as appropriate.

    • Design and implement relevant and progressive curriculum.

    • Associate’s degree in a related area OR an associate’s degree in any area with a technical diploma in a related area. If all other knowledge, skills, and abilities are present, candidates in process of completing an associate’s degree may be considered.
    • Minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in the gas utility and construction industry, of which at least 1 year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to date of hire. One year (2,000 hours) of recent related occupational experience may be waived if the instructor has at least 2 years of post−secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within 5 years prior to date of hire.
    • Experience operating equipment relevant to the gas utility and construction industry.
    • Relevant safety qualifications related to the gas utility and construction industry.
    • Class A CDL or ability to obtain.
    • This position may include teaching online and requires expertise in integrating technology.
    • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
    • Qualified per CVTC requirements at time of, and throughout, employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job specific licensing standards.
