In a team environment, the Grants Specialist, is responsible for the research and development of grant proposals; as well as the leadership and coordination of the College’s grant management and evaluation processes and related functions. This position reports to the Director of College Effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Research, monitor, and apprise staff of federal, state, and private grant opportunities compatible with the College’s strategic plan.
- Train new staff in all aspects of grant development, including grant processes and policies, understanding regulations of different funders, important points of contact within the organization and WTCS, etc.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with grantor organization and other professionals in the field.
- Plan for the timely development, writing, and submission of grant proposals with campus administrators, leadership, faculty, and staff.

The Director of Library Services leads, manages, and coordinates library department initiatives Managing day-to-day operations of the college’s library, this position strategically stewards library resources, promotes community building, public engagement, and student success. This position works with academic deans, associate vice presidents/provost, and College faculty, and staff to improve and enhance library and instructional resources and services, supports the teaching and learning of all CVTC students, and serves as the Copyright Officer for the College. Responsibilities include coordinating and directing all activities of the College’s library, developing and administering a comprehensive collection of print, digital, and technology educational materials as well as fostering vibrant virtual and physical spaces in support of learning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the establishment of long and short-range goals and strategic planning for the College library; consult with College administrative teams including vice presidents, deans, faculty, and students to determine library and instructional support needs.

Under the direction of the truck driving instructors and lead truck driving instructional assistants, this position is responsible for driving and related operational skills training for students pursuing a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This position will also maintain records, prepare reports, and initiate and develop client training for Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and supervise student driving under a variety of environments and driving conditions, including straight line backing, developing depth perception, making turns, backing into docks and parking places, mirror adjustment, and how to use large mirrors and convex mirrors.
- Perform work duties outside in all weather conditions.
- Provide training for students in the truck driving program and other students seeking a CDL.

An adjunct instructor is able to work effectively in a collaborative environment; is willing to innovate and change to meet evolving program and industry needs; and demonstrates competency with use of technology that supports learning and teaching. Generally, an adjunct instructor will be hired to instruct specific open classes based upon the adjunct instructor’s qualifications and availability.
- Plan for and instruct courses in the area of Agriculture Service Technician.
- Implement relevant and progressive curriculum.
- Deliver high-quality instruction through the planning and implementation of effective learning strategies and environments.
- Create performance-based assessments aligned with competencies through formative and summative measures.
- Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Meet professional expectations by maintaining professional currency and contributing to a collaborative culture across the College.
